1. Who we are

The Batch Social ("we," "us," "our") is a trading name of Richelle Lewton, a sole trader. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you interact with our website or book an event, why we collect it, and how we look after it.

2. What we collect

When you book an event, join our waitlist, or sign up to our newsletter, we collect your name, email address, and the first half of your postcode. If you complete our before your event form, we also collect your allergen information which comes under health data. When you pay for a session, your payment is processed securely by Wix Payments, we never see or store your card details ourselves. We also collect some basic website usage data automatically through Wix's built-in analytics, so we can understand how people use the site.

Photos and video at our events -

We take photos and short videos at our sessions to share on our website and social media (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn) and to promote future events. We do this because we have a legitimate interest in showing people what a Batch Social event is really like.

If you’d rather not be filmed or photographed, just tick the box on your before-the-event form or tell us on the day. We’ll make sure you’re kept out of shot.

If we’d like to feature you individually, for example in a close-up clip or a paid advert, we’ll always ask you first.

Changed your mind after the event? Email events@thebatchsocial.com and we’ll remove any photos or videos of you from our own website and social media accounts. We can’t control content that other people have already shared, reposted or downloaded, but we’ll take down everything we’re responsible for.

3. Why we collect it

We use your name and contact details to manage your booking and keep you updated about events, or to send you news if you've joined our waitlist or mailing list. We collect your signature to confirm you've agreed to our event terms and waiver before attending. Payment information is collected to process your booking and any refunds. Website usage data helps us understand how the site is used and where we can improve it.

4. How we store it

Your data is stored securely via Wix's platform. We don't sell your personal data, and we only share it with third parties where it's necessary to run our events and process payments, for example, with Wix Payments.

5. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To make a request, email us at events@thebatchsocial.com.

Our website may use cookies for basic functionality and analytics. You can control your cookie preferences through the cookie banner settings.
